Ontario Workplace Insurance Benefits that cover my counselling therapy:
- My therapy is covered by Manulife.
- My therapy is covered by Blue Cross.
- My therapy is covered by Canada Life.
- My therapy is covered by Sun Life. I am a Sun Life Provider.
- My therapy is covered by Green Shield.
There may be more, smaller insurance plans that also cover me as a Social Worker RSW – it is best to check.
*Note It is best to check your specific health benefits plan and see the total amount of benefits you have and also at what % you are covered.Coverage can vary from 20% to 100% and can make a difference in your budget and therapy plan.
I also advise you look at when your benefits renew as it may be different than your employers year end. It is usually called your Extended Health Care or EHC plan.
